Chabidaye Jaglal Ramnath - 3 Strategies to develop your prioritizing skills

Episode Summary

In this episode, Chabidaye discussed: Priority is key Proactive rather than reactive Prioritizing important versus urgent How many priority items for each day Key Takeaways: Prioritization is key in leadership. As a leader, you not only need to prioritize your time but your team’s. They need to know what’s the focus and what they need to work on. Plan proactively instead of reactively. Proactive means choosing what to prioritize. As leaders, we have the power to choose what to do and where to put your attention. Important items need to take precedence over urgent. Take time to look at each task, compare them, and then assess both their importance and their urgency. Try to prioritize three things each day and schedule it on your calendar. Priority is something you get done today, and it must not be moved to the next day. "Having too many priorities makes us feel overwhelmed… Know what to say no to, so that we can make space in our lives for the things to say yes to.
